Veedersburg -- Funeral services for William A. Edwards, age 55, of Silver Springs, Md., who died at about 2:30 a. m. Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Washington Center Hospital at Washington, D. C., were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Oct. 10, at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg. The Rev. James Dyson officiated. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery, south of Veedersburg. Mr. Edwards, the husband of the former Mary Youngblood of Veedersburg and brother-in-law of C. Frank Youngblood, Covington postmaster, was born in Pennsylvania July 11, 1907. He married his wife on June 3, 1939 and they made their home in Silver Springs, Md. He was an electronics engineer and a 29-year employee of the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co., and had been in ill health for some time. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Saranna, at home; his mother, Mrs. Sara Edwards; two sisters and one brother. Covington Postmaster Youngblood flew to Silver Springs Saturday evening from Indianapolis and accompanied his sister and niece to Veedersburg by automobile.
